From Recovery to Brunch: The Odessa’s Story

Odessa’s isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place to belong.
It’s a bistro on wheels, a brunch table without borders, and a gathering space where food becomes the bridge between stories, healing, and joy.

From Rock Bottom to the Brunch Table

My name is Millie Turner, and my story begins long before the first plate of French toast ever left the griddle.
For years, I carried the weight of addiction, the ache of shame, and the silent question of whether change was even possible. On June 20, 2022, my life pivoted. I chose sobriety. I chose life.

But recovery isn’t just about stopping something — it’s about starting something. For me, that “something” was cooking.

Why Brunch?

Brunch is slow. Brunch is intentional. Brunch is community at a table — where conversations linger, and coffee refills are bottomless. It’s a meal that welcomes late risers and early birds alike, and it gave me the space to connect with people in a way I had long craved.

In my recovery, brunch became my peace offering.

  • To myself: as proof I could create something beautiful.

  • To my community: as a way to show up with love on a plate.

Food as Fellowship, Wellness as a Lifestyle

Sobriety taught me that wellness isn’t a side dish — it’s the main course. I built Odessa’s around that idea. Every menu, every event, every partnership is an opportunity to feed more than just hunger.

We feed connection.
We feed hope.
We feed community.

We serve with intention, making sure that what we’re offering nourishes both body and spirit.

A Table Big Enough for Everyone

Odessa’s has become a space where people from all walks of life gather — from recovery warriors to busy families, from med reps on the go to brides celebrating their last brunch before “I do.”

If you show up here, you’re welcome here. No judgment. No prerequisites. Just a table big enough for everyone, set with grace, purpose, and a little bit of sparkle.
